Uh-Oh! School is Almost Here!

Uh-oh indeed! School is almost here! And this semester I'm in 6th grade, which I've heard is hard.  Not only that, but this year we are also Homeschooling my cousins Marti, Cassy, and Harleigh. Marti is going to be in 6th grade with me, Cassy is going to be in 4th grade, and Harleigh is going to be a Sophomore in High School! WOW. That is a lot of work to teach four kids who are in different grades.

So Mom "hired" Aunt Angela to help teach us kids! Although, on top of that we have some activities in the afternoons.
We have Art class, Piano, Writing, and of course, Theater (our next play is "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever").

I also have Bookclub and I'm going to attend a girls only Bible Study! On Fridays Mom and I clean the house. Whew! That's only week one! =)

Show Low Cabin Fun!

Last week, Mom, cousin Zoie, Craig, and I went up to Show Low to our new cabin for the Fourth of July. It was a lot of fun going up in the mountains in the cool air and enjoying the trees and nature. Zoie and I had so much fun seeing the wild horses and cows! There was no t.v. when we first moved in, so late at night Zoie and I would go out back on the porch and watch our neighbor's t.v., the only problem was they liked to watch HGTV.  So we decided to watch the stars instead!  Zoie and I also liked to make (short) movies with our dolls when it got too hot to go outside in the afternoons. On one day, Craig took us to The Family Fun Park and we raced go-carts! Zoie and I got very competitive!

On the Fourth of July we went to Show Low's Fourth of July Parade with Mr. and Mrs. Johnson (Zoie had gone home early).  It was a lot of fun seeing all of the cool floats. The only bad part about that day was that I was sick with a cold and couldn't go to the cookout afterwards!  =(

The other thing that happened up in our little cabin, which we have named Sweet Retreat, was that we finally got a t.v.! At night, we watch movies like Indiana Jones and Star Wars. On the last day of vacation we drove back down to Phoenix and now we miss the cool weather.  The temperatures up there are in the 60s at night and 80s during the day.
