Glasses?!

Easter

Easter isn't all about candy, chocolate bunnies, and egg hunts. Here is what Easter is really about:

On Good Friday Jesus died on a cross to save our sins. He died. Then on Saturday they took him off the cross and put him in a tomb and rolled a stone to cover the cave so no one would steal the body.

The next day, on Sunday, two women Mary Magdalen and another Mary went to the tomb to put special spices on Jesus' body and saw that the tomb was empty! They saw an angel and the angel Gabriel said: "Jesus is not here, he has resurrected! Go tell the disciples to spread the news!"

So the two woman ran to the disciples who were praying in the disciple Matthew's house and said to Peter (the head of the disciples) "Peter! Jesus has resurrected! He is alive!!" At first the disciples didn't believe but right then JESUS appeared to them and said "Do you not believe me? These women are telling the truth. Look at my hands and my feet. See the holes in them?" When the disciples saw the hands and the feet they said "Look! It really is Jesus!!" Jesus stayed with them for forty days and on the last day he took the disciples to a mountain and said "I'm going to live with my Father in heaven so I want you to go tell everybody about God and make disciples everywhere!" After saying that, Jesus went up to heaven.

So thats why we celebrate Easter ~ because Jesus died for our sins and resurrected into heaven!

Bookclub at the Cecil's Farm

Last week we had book club at my friend's house and they live on a farm!! We had lots of fun playing with the goats and playing the game "Telephone". Right after that, we had book club and the boys went upstairs while the girls stayed downstairs. Our lesson was about "GOSSIP". We learned that it is bad to gossip and if your friends start gossiping you should say "You know guys this isn't cool. Lets talk about...barbies!"

After the lesson the girls made a gossip book. The book is like a diary where you can write the gossip instead of telling people all that juicy stuff. Once the boys came downstairs we started playing again and we got to hold the baby chicks! Here are the pics:

Pajama Party

A few weeks ago our book club had a pajama party! We watched the movie

Secretariat, had popcorn, and

played a lot of fun games such as: Janitor, Mummies in the Grave Yard, and Bear!

It was a lot of fun! Mom remembered to take pictures after some of my friends had already left. These friends are the Buslers.

Renaissance Festival

A couple of weeks ago we went to The Renaissance Festival. There were actors dressed up as people from that time period, the 14th -17th century. Many famous people lived during that time. For example, Leonardo De Vinci, Elizabeth I, King Louis XIV, Robin Hood, Michelangelo, Galileo, Shakespeare, etc. There were lots of fun games and shows to see. Here are some pictures from the day:
